Mr. Walsh has taught courses on biomechanics of the foot and ankle, gait, running, the lumbar spine and manual therapy course work internationally for over 20 years. He offers a dynamic interactive approach to his courses with emphasis on accurate functional movement, tissue differential diagnosis, clinical reasoning and patient case studies.

Originally from Sydney, Australia, Matthew has presented his approaches at the Physiotherapy at the Australian Institute of Sport conferences and has served as team physiotherapist to the Canadian cross country ski team and the Alberta alpine ski team. With over 25 years of experience, Matt’s expertise has created opportunities for him to work with both professional and recreational athletes alike.

Now residing in Portland, Oregon, Matthew is active in outpatient orthopedic clinical practice with the Rebound group. He is a PhD candidate at Charles Sturt University in Australia. Matthew‘s research is investigating a qualitative study of advanced orthopedic physical therapists clinical practice knowledge. Matthew practices with a specialization in the assessment, treatment and training of the running athlete. He is the director of the Rebound Physical Therapy Runner’s Clinic where he operates a weekly training, technique and strengthening program as well as teaches clinics for first time and high school running athletes.
